Today’s Tea – Sweet Melody Tea

Sweet Melody TeaToday’s tea is a tea from called Sweet Melody. The tea that I am presenting to you today is another absolute favorite of mine.  This particular tea is a white tea that contains dry ginger, pomegranate seeds, some peppermint, and a small amount of saffron. This tea was a bit surprised when I first took a sip, as I didn’t truly know what to expect. I found it absolutely amazing. I served this particular tea whenever my friends and I were having a get-together, and so far everyone really seems to enjoy it. This tea makes a great afternoon tea or to pair with something sweet.

The tea itself is a bright golden color, and only features a minor flavor of the ginger. The other ingredients serve to tame the ginger and lure you in with a floral bouquet of flavors.  Many times with ginger, the teas come off as strong.  In this particular case, the pomegranate really helps to smooth out the flavors.  With that being said, this is definitely a tea I would recommend trying.  Easily a 9/10.  However, there is one drawback and that would be the cost.  This particular tea is a bit more expensive than most other teas, but it definitely is worth its price.  This is more than likely due to the inclusion of saffron which is one of the most valued spices in the world.

Serving Sweet Melody

Sweet Melody is a tea that is best served hot. The steeping temperature is between 185 – 194F, which is slightly below boiling. It is suggested you use 2.75 tsp / 2.5 g of the loose leaf tea to 6 fl oz of water. For this particular tea, you will want to steep it only once and for 5 minutes. As far as pairings, you can use sugar or honey. However, usually, it isn’t needed. I, myself, prefer this tea without any add ons as they distract from the flavor this tea provides.

For those who enjoy tea, this is by far a high quality and highly enjoyable tea.  This particular kind is another I keep on hand at all times since many of my friends have come to enjoy it as much as I do.  Yes, it does cost a bit more than normal teas, but it is totally worth it.  With that being said,  do you have any suggestions for a tea that I try?  Have you tried Sweet Melody before?  If so, what did you think?  I’d really like to hear from you, so sound off in the comments below!
